Within the past year, I have traveled to Australia and Costa Rica, spent a semester in Thailand, and driven across the country from California to Virginia.
During Sydney's summer, when I wasn't spending time hiking the Blue Mountains, I was soaking up the summer rays at Bondi Beach.
My experience in Costa Rica taught me to be more appreciative towards the environment and to live life the "pura vida" way.
Between nature’s thriving presence, picture-perfect scenery all around you, and outstanding hospitality wherever you go, it’s surprising that more people aren’t rushing to the “Rich Coast”.
Finding myself in a country rich of culture, I explored everything from lush forests and perfect white sand beaches, to beautifully constructed Buddhist temples in Thailand.
Although most of my time was spent in the city streets of Bangkok, I made my way to the luxurious resort beaches of Phuket and played with tigers in Chiang Mai.
Most recently, I returned from spending more than 3,000 miles sitting in a car to see eight different states over the course of eleven days.
We departed from Los Angeles, saw the deserts of Phoenix, Arizona and Roswell, New Mexico, and got a flat tire in Dallas, Texas.
I left a part of my heart in Louisiana after three days of experiencing the art, soul, and food that New Orleans had to offer.
Back in the car and behind the wheel, we breezed through some of the southern states, making a brief stop in Atlanta, Georgia.
From Charlotte, North Carolina, we grabbed some barbeque and completed the drive when we reached Clifton, Virginia.
After the cross-country drive and a few days of staying in an actual home, I flew back to California just in time to start the new semester.
